Severstal Steel Solutions will act as a partner of Dynamo football club in the construction project of the Lev Yashin Central Football Academy, which will be erected in the north-west of Moscow, in the Yuzhnoye Tushino district. The landmark project is being implemented using solutions based on high-strength and fire-resistant steels.
The company will perform a full cycle of work: optimization design, production of metal structures, installation and application of fire protection. The project will use high-strength Powerweld 420 steel and fire-resistant C390P, which reduces metal consumption and optimizes cost due to high strength characteristics. C390P constructions will reduce the flame retardant layer and application costs. The total volume of supply will exceed 4 thousand tons. The first delivery is scheduled for autumn 2026. Metal structures will be produced at the site in Obninsk.
Dynamo Football Academy named after L.I. Yashin is a federal project. Dynamo FC is one of the most popular and titled clubs in the country, and the club's academy has become the best football academy in Moscow three times in recent years and annually produces professional athletes of the Russian national football team.
The new complex of the academy will become a training center for the next generations of players, about 300 boys and girls aged 5-17 will play professional football there every year for free. The total area of the complex is almost 50 thousand square meters. meters. It will include an administrative block, an arena, a stadium with a playing field, training fields and locker rooms. A landscaped embankment, a landscaped park for walking and recreation, as well as outdoor sports and children's areas accessible to all residents of the district will appear on the 12.5-hectare plot. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2029, the 100th anniversary of the legendary goalkeeper, the owner of the "Golden Ball" Lev Yashin.
