In the first match of Rolan Gusev as acting head coach of the team, Dynamo beat Krylia Sovetov on the road (3:1), having spent the second half in the minority after the sending-off of Jorge Carrascal. However, referee's error was recognized, and the Control and Disciplinary Committee canceled the red card, which will allow Jorge to play in the derby.
Yaroslav Gladyshev, who became the top scorer and assistant of the spring part of the championship, scored two goals in the minority. He was also recognized as the best player of April in the RPL.
Unfortunately, it was not without unpleasant news: Diego Laxalt injured his adductor muscle and is out for the rest of the season, and Luis Chavez twisted his ankle, and his participation in Sunday's match is in doubt. But El-Mehdi Maouhoub has fully recovered and is ready to play.
About the opponent
After winning the cup derby, Spartak went to Voronezh, where they had a goalless draw with Fakel, which occupies the last place in the standings. The head coach of the red and whites Dejan Stankovic decided to spare the team leaders Srdjan Babic and Ezequiel Barko, and in the 25th minute the Muscovites also remained in the minority after Ruslan Litvinov was sent off for a foul of the last hope.
– I am pleased with how the guys showed themselves in the second half, – said Dejan Stankovic after the match. – Psychologically, too. We changed the game scheme, we were waiting for moments in the final third, but the decisions we made at the completion stage need to be improved, they were wrong. There are still matches ahead, there are important big goals, in no case do we give up and continue on.
In addition to Litvinov, Daniil Denisov, who was injured and scored an own goal in the Cup match with Dynamo, is unlikely to take part in Sunday's match.
