Dynamo Moscow head coach Valery Karpin answered journalists' questions after the match with Zenit (1:2).
— It's clear that you're down a lot, with a lot of players injured. But still, under what circumstances could your team have achieved a positive result today?
— Given the way the team played with this lineup, we could have achieved a result. The guys tried to follow the instructions. Obviously, we can always do better, but I think they gave everything they had. I thanked the guys for this game; they did a great job.
— Dynamo led in shots and chances created, but today they only had one shot on target. What do you attribute that to?
— The team's play. Obviously, there weren't many shots, but we weren't playing a weak team.
— Are you satisfied with Kurban Rasulov's performance? How do you rate the episode at the end—did he take too many risks by going so far out of goal?
— Specifically, in that episode, yes, he took a risk. The defenders weren't out of position yet. This is only his second game in the RPL, and he still has some mistakes to make. Overall, he played a good game, as did the whole team, with the exception of individual errors.
— You reacted very emotionally to the referee's decisions, even receiving a yellow card. How would you rate Alexey Sukhoi's performance now?
— I'm almost never satisfied with the referee's work. The incidents were often handled differently. I'm dissatisfied, Sergei Bogdanovich is dissatisfied—it took a lot to get everyone riled up. That's why the game on the field was so tense, and the players got worked up.
— You'll play Zenit again in the Russian Cup. What do you think of the current tournament system? Should we return to the previous one?
— At the moment, while we're suspended, no. The normal formula is to give players who don't always play in the league a chance to play. It's a good chance for them to prove themselves.
