Dynamo veterans continue to lead in the "Unquenchable Stars" tournament

The organizer of the eighth round of the XXV tournament was CSKA. It took place on August 26 at the Oktyabrsky Stadium and was dedicated to the memory of the Honored Master of Sports Valentin Aleksandrovich Nikolaev.

1st match. Dynamo started the fourth round in a row with a meeting with railway workers, with whom a dry victory alternates with a zero draw. The statistics did not disappoint and, despite the playing superiority of the tournament leader, the score was predictable – 0:0.

Eric Yakhimovich: We play correctly – we attack sharply and in different directions. There is movement, we create moments. Why didn't you score once? We're just unlucky!

2nd match. Both teams tried to play an attacking game, but they were also very attentive in defense. It seemed that there would be a draw, when suddenly, at the last second of the match, Spartak player sent the ball right into the corner with a strong and accurate shot from an average distance.

Sergey Zhilkin: The ball flew into the lower left corner, slightly hitting the goalpost. But he can't be called unbreakable, because I hit him with my fingertips in the throw. It's a shame I didn't save the team.

3rd match. The Torpedo team defended themselves stoutly, but the longitudinal and transverse attacks of the Dynamo team repeatedly cut their defenses. The moments for taking the goal were created one after another, but inexplicably wasted.

Viktor Losev: They are in too much of a hurry to score, so they are milling around at someone else's gate, fussing. We need a goal, and then everything will calm down and they will start hitting the target. I'm sure it will happen in the next game.

4th match. The corner draw helped open the account. Valery Likhobabenko served, and Vladimir Skokov instantly closed. The game immediately calmed down. In the second half, Stanislav Dubrovin deftly and technically implemented a one-on-one exit.

Stanislav Dubrovin: I don't want to cite bad luck, we are to blame for the scoring drought. They just lost their concentration after a summer vacation, and the ball does not forgive this.

The 5th match. For a long time the attacks did not bring results, and so it continued until the corner played by Likhobabenko. Alexey Kozlov closed his canopy with his head in a high jump. After that, the game went into a calm channel, and Dynamo's attacks became more meaningful. Skokov – Dubrovin – strike – the second goal. Kozlov – Skokov – kick – third goal. As a result, the first major victory in the summer months.

Vladimir Dolbonosov: Only in the end two winning chords brought us the second place. But the Spartacists have reduced their lag and are trying to catch up with us. I will set the guys up for a serious fight with a strong opponent. We should not miss leadership.
